Standard Teleprompter Rental (AutoCue)
Our professional Autocue, Telescript or Prompter People units are included in our selection of “through the lens” teleprompters. Our prompters can be set up on the tripod with the camera, or on a freestanding separate tripod in front of your camera. This unit enables talent to look directly at the camera while they read copy.
The prompter takes about 20 minutes to set up. We have found that it is a good idea for the client to send the script in Word format via email or on a flash drive to the operator before the shoot. Our operators are flexible and accommodating and can load and, if needed, make minor changes to the script on location.
Interrotron Rental
The Interrotron Mark III is made up of of a unit for the director (camera, lens, tripod, professional monitor, hood, mirror, mounting plate) and unit for the talent (professional monitor, hood, sliding 15mm double gold plate mounting system). The units together make it possible for the director to have a conversation with the talent as if they were face to face, while the talent looks directly into the camera. This is ideal for creating a more natural feel to the talent’s on camera communication. The interrotron gives the talent someone to be talking to, which takes away the intimidation and discomfort that looking directly into a lens for extended periods of time can produce.
The Interrotron Mark II includes the talent unit, along with a camera and lens. The talent will be able to see the director, however, the director will not be able to see the talent and must look into camera that gives the image of the director to the talent.

EyeDirect Rental
Price: $250/Day; $750/3 Day Week (Only Available for Shipping)
Like the Interrotron Mark III, The EyeDirect provides the talent and director the capability to see each other, while still giving the effect that the talent is looking into the lens. This unit is recommended only for stationary camera set ups.
The Eyedirect is ready to ship, delivered in a Pelican case, custom fitted for the unit. The package weighs 30 lbs total, and is slightly bigger than a plane carry-on sized bag.

Presidential Teleprompter Rental (aka Speech Prompter)
The Presidential Teleprompter is made up of two glass panels, set up on both sides of a lectern. The speaker looks at the panels to see a script or text, but the audience can only see the glass, making it look like the glass has no text on it, so as not to block their view. This unit is often used at conferences, award shows, graduations, presidential speeches (hence the name).
The operator should be let into the venue a few hours before the event starts, so that they can adjust the position of the prompter and the script font to the comfort of the talent.

Confidence Monitor
Confidence monitors, like presidential prompters, are generally used for public speaking and stage events, except with this unit speakers can walk around the stage while still having access to the script/copy. Musicians commonly use a few of them (often called “Rock ‘n Roll Monitors”) around the edge of the stage at an angle so that the audience can’t see them, but the talent can still read off of it.
The confidence monitor usually has three arrangements: on the stage, off the stage, or behind the audience.

iPad Teleprompter Rental / EyePrompter Rental

The iPad teleprompter only takes a few minutes to set up and fits into a laptop case, making it a perfect unit for small shoots with limited prep time, small budgets and/or shoots that require travel. Podium Prompter (Podium AutoCue)
This device is thin teleprompter monitor placed on top of the podium out of sight of the audience. A cable is run from the operator to the monitor, allowing the operator to prompt for the talent.
Rise and Fall “Robotic” Presidential Prompter Pair
Occasionally, there is a need for several speakers to share the same podium at a live event. They may be of varying heights so that the teleprompter may need to be adjusted up or down for each individual. Having an assistant rush onstage to adjust the prompter height is not a good way to handle this.
Enter the Rise and Fall “Robotic” Presidential Teleprompter. In rehearsal, our operator sets the height of the two glass “paddles” for optimum comfortable reading level for each speaker. Then during the live event, he/she robotically adjusts the prompter height from a nearby location.
This unit is available in New York and San Francisco but can be shipped to other cities. Our Manhattan robotic prompter has served Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Nantucket, Newark, Atlantic City, Hartford, Westchester and the Hamptons.

I just moved here last month to follow my dream – to work full time in the film business. I got this job as an associate producer and production coordinator for the American Movie Company and its subsidiary Teleprompter Rental. The gigs I’ve had have been super interesting given that the speakers were polyglots. I speak French, English and have some fluency in Italian. I have some background in drama and speech coaching. This too has been a welcome addition to my resume. I like working with people and perfecting their delivery.

The Palais des Congrès de Montréal is a convention center located in the borough of Ville-Marie.
