Standard Teleprompter Rental (AutoCue)
Price: $645/10 Hour with operator
This professional through the lens teleprompter allows talent to read a script while appearing as if they are looking into the lens and addressing a viewer at home. Our prompter sits in front of the camera lens (can be mounted on camera tripod, or freestanding).
The average set up time is only about twenty minutes. We advise sending in scripts prior to the shoot, but operators can load scripts and/or make minor changes when they arrive on set.
Price: $645 – $845/10 Hour Day
The Interrotron facilitates a face to face conversation between the director and talent. While the director is able to monitor footage and judge framing, lighting, etc., the talent is able to view the director on an image projected in front of a camera lens and ease the tension of having to look directly into a camera lens.

Price: $250/Day; $750/3 Day Week
Available for shipping only.
The EyeDirect is similar to the Interrotron Mark III, where the main purpose is to allow the talent and the director to see each other and have a “face to face” conversation. This is also a cost effective alternative for the Mark III if you are on a tight budget or on a shoot that requires extensive travel. The unit can also double as an iPad teleprompter (iPad not included) by using the included iPad mount.
This unit comes in a fitted Pelican case that weighs around 30 pounds and is a little bigger than a carry-on bag.
Presidential Teleprompter Rental (aka Speech Prompter)
The Presidential Prompter is the standard device of choice.for speaking to an audience from a podium. Chances are you have seen these in action on TV. Every President since Dwight D. Eisenhower has used one.
It consists of two glass panels on thin steel rods which are positioned on either side of the podium. The audience can see right through the clear glass so the speaker’s face is not blocked from view. But the speaker can clearly see his/her text reflected in the two way mirrored glass from their vantage point behind the podium. For this reason, the device is sometimes called the “invisible teleprompter”.
We have prompted for every President since Gerald Ford with our Presidential Prompters and highly experienced, professional operators. We are regularly called to the United Nations to prompt for visiting Heads of State. In recent memory, we prompted for then Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. It was a fascinating experience.
It is essential that a highly experienced operator set up and use this device as in virtually every case your event is live. This puts pressure on the operator to get it right and to be ready when Murphy’s Law kicks in and there is some unexpected problem. Our skilled operators carry a backup laptop because, let’s face it, while today’s computers are rugged and dependable and we always update and care for ours… they are still computers. And on rare occasions, they fail. So a backup is not just a good thing, it’s an essential thing when operating at a live event.
Additionally, the operator must thoroughly know the software and be able to react instantly to every change in the script. On the spur of the moment, the performer may stop to tell a joke or to respond to an audience member or to just ad lib for a moment. In such an instance the operator cannot get flustered. If the speaker strays “off script”, the operator must not panic and must handle the situation in a calm and professional manner. He/she is experienced and knows how to deal with the unexpected.

Rise and Fall “Robotic” Presidential Prompter Pair
Occasionally, there might be a need for several speakers to share the same podium at a live event. They may be of varying heights so the teleprompter may have to be adjusted up or down for each individual. Having an assistant rush out onstage to adjust the prompter height is not a desirable way to handle this.
Enter the Rise and Fall “Robotic” Presidential Teleprompter. In rehearsal, our operator sets the height of the two glass “paddles” for optimum comfortable reading level for each speaker. Then during the live event, he/she “robotically” adjusts the prompter height from a nearby location.
This unit is available in New York and San Francisco but can be shipped to other cities. Our NYC robotic prompter has served Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Nantucket, Newark, Atlantic City, Hartford, Westchester and the Hamptons.

Now there are cases where in spite of the fact that the Presidential Prompter is virtually invisible, the speaker still does not want the audience to suspect that he/she is using a teleprompter. In that case we recommend a “Podium Prompter”. This consists of a thin “high bright” professional prompter monitor placed directly on the podium. The wires are dressed inconspicuously down the inside of the podium and over to the operator concealed off stage.
Note: As the Presidential Prompter is in two large rolling Pelican cases and the Podium Prompter is in one small briefcase, it’s cost effective to ship the podium prompter for venues where the budget is an issue or the local operator is not totally familiar with the more complex Presidential Prompter setup. A local operator can easily connect the device (it’s a professional camera monitor with HDSDI, BNC, HDMI, Component and Composite inputs). It has a VGA converter just in case. The Podium Teleprompter is available in NYC and Hollywood but can be shipped anywhere.
Price: $645 Podium Teleprompter

While speakers most often stand behind the podium, some prefer to roam about the stage and occasionally venture out into the audience. In these cases we recommend using one or more confidence monitors. These are flat screen HD monitors which receive a teleprompter signal.
The size and number of monitors vary depending on the venue and the client’s preference.
Typical configurations are:

Not all speakers like to give a speech behind a podium. Some like to walk around the stage or even walk around the audience. If your speaker is known for walking around, then the confidence monitor is the right system. They are small “flat screen” HD monitors that are placed around the venue (on stage, off stage or behind the audience) and they can pick up any signal from a teleprompter. This is used for events like panels and concerts.
iPad Teleprompter Rental / EyePrompter Rental
Price: $95 without iPad; $120 with iPad (call us at 917.414.5489 for extended rental packages)
Available for shipping only.
The iPad Teleprompter is great for small productions with tight budgets, extensive travel and/or small scripts. It sets up in less than two minutes and can be mounted to a small light stand or baby c-stand (not included).
Just note that even though the iPad software can be controlled via bluetooth, most prompter softwares do not allow you to control the speed of the scroll, which can cause the talent to sound robotic when delivering his/her message.
The EyePrompter is a one-piece setup that folds flat (it fits in a laptop case), making it easy it to travel with.
Podium Prompter (Podium AutoCue)
Price: $645/10 Hour Day with operator
The podium prompter is considered to be the most invisible for live performance. The thin monitor is placed on top of the podium and the speaker glances down, making it look they’re reading notes, without actually having to shuffle through papers.

A comprehensive description of the mirror used on teleprompters.
The one-way teleprompter mirror has a very thin, reflective coating so that the front of the mirror can reflect the words on the monitor below and yet at the same time allow the lens to “see” through the mirror from the other side.
It’s actually so thin that we call it a half-silvered surface. The reflective molecules coat the glass so thinly that approximately half the molecules needed to make the glass an opaque mirror are applied. At the molecular level, there are reflective molecules speckled all over the glass in an even film but only half of the glass is covered. The half-silvered surface reflects roughly half the light that strikes its surface while letting the other half go straight through to allow the lens to have a clear view of the subject. This does cause a small light loss (filter factor) to the camera which the operator must compensate for with the exposure.
